One year of Identity: time to check your Enterprise SSO credential expiry — August 24, 2026 12:55 UTC Scheduled - This is not a maintenance of commercetools services but we ask you to check your set up to prevent expiring credentials. Our authentication service Identity used for authenticating users logging into our service tools was introduced in August 2025. If your organization is using Identity Enterprise SSO we ask that you please check the API Client expiry date for your SSO configuration within your Identity Provider. We are sharing this suggestion as 12 months is a common expiry setting. What happens if they expire? Should the keys expire Identity users will be temporarily locked out of our business service tools such as the Merchant Center and the Frontend Studio. They will get an error such as: "oauth2: invalid_client XXX: The provided client secret keys for app 'xyz' are expired." when logging in. To resolve this the SSO owner or an administrator will need to contact our support team so we can help resolve this. If you provide new keys before they expire, there will be no disruption. Security Warnings on Frontend Domains — August 13, 2026 18:43 UTC Monitoring - We are currently investigating reports of security warnings when accessing sites under *.frontend.site domains which only affects non-production projects. Visitors may experience interstitial browser warnings indicating potential security risks. Our engineering team is actively working with our third-party infrastructure partner to resolve the domain configuration and mitigate the warnings. August 13, 2026 19:44 UTC Monitoring - Our engineering team is co-ordinating with the infrastructure partner and we are awaiting a response from our partner to complete the remediation. We will provide further updates as soon as more information becomes available.

Planned Servicing Period for commercetools Checkout in the EU region — June 8, 2026 18:53 UTC Scheduled - commercetools Checkout will undergo a one-hour planned service period on Monday, 22nd June 2026 in the GCP EU region. Affected by this maintenance are: - commercetools Complete Checkout - commercetools Payment Only Checkout Calls that are sent to: checkout.europe-west1.gcp.commercetools.com/ will not complete successfully. This means if your implementation is using Complete Checkout, shoppers will not be able to initiate checkout at all. If you are using Payment Only, the shopper experience will fail at the payment step. We strongly recommend to avoid letting shoppers start checkout during the maintenance window, and consider adding a maintenance banner on your website.
