Viasat, Inc. is a global communications company that specializes in providing high-speed satellite broadband services and secure networking systems for both military and commercial markets. It is best known for its residential satellite internet service, which is a key internet provider in rural and remote areas where traditional cable or fiber optic services are not available. Viasat’s business model is centered on a multi-orbit strategy, using a combination of Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO), Medium Earth Orbit (MEO), and Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. The company's core operations are divided into two main segments: Communication Services and Defense and Advanced Technologies.
