Estado de NOW TV

NOW, formerly known as Now TV, is a subscription-based over-the-top (OTT) streaming service primarily operating in the United Kingdom and a few other international markets. Its business model is unique as a service that provides access to premium Sky content without the need for a long-term satellite TV contract. The company generates revenue from a pay-as-you-go model through a series of content-specific "passes." This allows customers to pay for what they want, when they want it, offering a level of flexibility that differentiates it from traditional subscription services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. The service was launched in the UK in 2012 by Sky Group, which is a subsidiary of the American media conglomerate Comcast. The original purpose was to capture a segment of the audience that was hesitant to commit to a lengthy and expensive pay-TV contract. NOW's initial offering was a movie pass, but it quickly expanded to include entertainment and sports passes. The company's brand identity revolves around this concept of "now" – providing instant, on-demand access to a wide variety of high-quality content. NOW’s core services are organized into these different memberships: Entertainment, Cinema, Sports, and Hayu. The Entertainment Membership provides access to Sky's premium TV shows and live channels, including exclusive content from channels like Sky Atlantic and Sky Witness, which are home to popular series from HBO and other major broadcasters. The Cinema Membership offers a massive library of movies, often with a new premiere every day, and access to live Sky Cinema channels. The Sports Membership is a major competitive advantage, as it provides a flexible way to access all 12 Sky Sports channels on a daily or monthly basis, which is ideal for fans who only want to watch major events or a specific season. A Hayu Membership is also available, providing on-demand access to a vast library of American reality TV.
