Instacart — status

Instacart.com, operated by Maplebear Inc., is a leading American retail media and delivery company that provides a grocery delivery and pickup service through its website and mobile app. Founded in San Francisco in 2012 by Apoorva Mehta, Max Mullen, and Brandon Leonardo, the company has grown to become a dominant player in the on-demand grocery market across the United States and Canada. The platform operates as a three-sided marketplace, connecting customers, local retail partners, and a network of independent personal shoppers. Customers use the service to browse and purchase groceries and other household items from a wide range of stores, with orders being fulfilled by a personal shopper who selects, packs, and delivers the items to their doorstep, often on the same day. Instacart generates revenue through various streams, including delivery and service fees, a subscription service called Instacart+, and advertising sales to consumer-packaged goods brands on its platform.
