IPVanish — status

IPVanish is a commercial VPN service that provides solutions for online privacy and security. The company's business model is a subscription service, with pricing that offers significant discounts for longer-term plans, though it can be more expensive on a month-to-month basis. IPVanish is a well-established player in the VPN industry, and a key feature that has set it apart is its policy of allowing unlimited simultaneous connections on a single account, making it a good value for households with many devices. The company is headquartered in the United States and has a vast network of over 2,200 servers in more than 75 locations worldwide. A major selling point is its verified no-logs policy, which has been independently audited to confirm that it does not store or track user activity. The service offers a number of features designed to enhance security and user experience. This includes a kill switch that automatically disconnects your internet if the VPN connection drops, preventing data leaks. It also provides a SOCKS5 web proxy for anonymous browsing, though it’s not as secure as a full VPN connection. Additionally, some plans include a Secure Browser that operates in the cloud to prevent malware and trackers from reaching your device. It also offers cloud backup services as part of its bundled offerings. While IPVanish has faced some historical issues related to its no-logs claims, recent audits and the company's commitment to transparency have helped restore its reputation. The service is often compared to top competitors like NordVPN and ExpressVPN, and while it may not have all the advanced features of some rivals, it consistently performs well in terms of speed and provides a strong balance of security and affordability, particularly with its unlimited device policy.
