The Chit Chats site was offline for about 12 minutes today due to a hardware failure that left resources in a state that could not automatically be failed over.

The Chit Chats web site was very slow and mostly unusable for about 20 minutes today around 4 pm EDT. We have implemented a fix and will be monitoring.
