We are aware of a security issue involving eMudhra, a third-party certificate authority used to verify secure internet connections. Our security and engineering teams are assessing potential exposure and proactively updating affected software and certificate bundles across our services and applications. At this time, we have not identified evidence that Notion has been compromised in connection with this issue. This work is a preventative security measure, rather than a response to a service outage. We’re taking precautionary steps to update affected certificate-validation components and block trust in the affected certificates where needed.

We are investigating an issue preventing Custom Agents powered by Cursor from loading Notion tools. This issue began on October 12 at 18:00 UTC.

Between 18:00 UTC on October 12 and 00:49 UTC on October 15, some external agents could connect to Notion but couldn't use Notion tools. This issue has been resolved, and affected agents can use Notion tools again.

Between approximately 9:00am and 10:00am PDT on October 13, 2026, users may have encountered errors when submitting Notion forms. This issue is now resolved, and form submissions are working normally. We apologize for the disruption.

Some users experienced delayed or missing real-time updates in Notion during an earlier disruption around 2am PDT on October 13 and again from approximately 7:30am to 8:45am PDT. Degraded performance for page creation, updates in the Notion API and image uploads to Notion AI has also been reported. We have applied mitigations for the real-time update disruption and are monitoring recovery. We are confirming whether the reported API impact has fully recovered. We apologize for the disruption.

We are preparing an infrastructure migration to address the recent disruptions to real-time updates in Notion and improve service reliability. The production migration is planned to begin next Tuesday, October 20, at 2pm PDT. During the migration, users may experience: • Delayed or missing real-time updates in Notion. • Slower page creation and updates through the Notion API and MCP. • Failures uploading screenshots in Notion AI chats. • Failures or delays in custom agent runs. • Delays when adding members to workspaces. The infrastructure migration to improve service reliability is now in progress. We are observing stability before gracefully retiring the old cluster and completing the migration. We will share further updates as the migration progresses or the completion estimate changes.

We are currently investigating an incident where login with apple has been having intermittent 500s due to an Apple endpoint intermittently returning 404. Users aren't hard blocked, but need to retry if they get the error.

We have identified the cause of the AI Connector sync delays and implemented a fix. Syncs are recovering, but some users may continue to experience delayed or missing results in Notion AI. We are currently monitoring the recovery and will provide another update when more information is available.
