August 4, 2026 17:45 BST Identified - We have identified an interruption to a small selection of services to public upstream connections due to one of our own edge routers automatically resetting its NP. The automated reset clears the fault that the router identified but will have caused traffic to re-route to a different path while the route was unavailable. The event has fully recovered already and we are investigating the cause. At this time we do not expect any further interruptions as the automatic reset will have cleared any errors. August 4, 2026 18:33 BST Resolved - We have seen no further evidence of errors appearing on the NP as such believe the system to be stable. We are in contact with 3rd parties regarding the event for further investigations. We will continue to monitor this device closely.

July 14, 2026 14:08 BST Scheduled - CustodianDC are scheduling essential dark fibre maintenance on our own infrastructure at Goswell Road (GOS) which will impact our Dark Fibre link from Goswell Road (GOS) to Dartford (DA2). During this maintenance, we will have periods of reduced resiliency as hardware and patching is migrated. [Layer-3 IP Transit Services] Our core IP Transit network automatically re-routes all protected services when a fibre break is detected, and brings the failed fibre back into service only once it has been stable and error free for a period of time. As such, all Layer-3 services will have possible path switches at the start and end of this work, depending on destination path selected, with potential changes in latency to some destinations. No significant disruption is expected to any IPT services at any location. [Layer-2 MPLS/VPLS Services] Standard Ethernet Services which have a path between GOSDA2 will experience an outage. Protected Ethernet Services which have a path between GOSDA2 may see a switch/re-route during this work. Diverse Ethernet Services which include a path between GOSDA2 may see the loss of one member; no parallel outages of both feeds are expected. [Wavelength Services] Services between GOSDA2 will experience an outage. April 9, 2026 11:55 BST Scheduled - One of our third-party providers has advised that they need to perform maintenance at Goswell Road (GOS) which will impact our Dark Fibre link from Goswell Road (GOS) to Dartford (DA2). During this maintenance, we will have periods of reduced resiliency. The 3rd party engineers have identified a damaged section of cable in London that requires replacement, to avoid any further unplanned outages relating to the damage found. Custodian’s networking team will be working closely with the third party at all times. April 8, 2026 12:00 BST Scheduled - One of our third-party providers has advised that they need to perform maintenance between Telehouse North (THN) and DA2. This will impact our Dark Fibre link from Telehouse North (THN) to Dartford (DA2). During this maintenance, we will have periods of reduced resiliency. This particular work by the 3rd party is to remake a badly degraded splicing-case that is leaving circuits vulnerable. Custodian’s networking team will be working closely with the third party at all times. [Layer-3 IP Transit Services] Our core IP Transit network automatically re-routes all protected services when a fibre break is detected, and brings the failed fibre back into service only once it has been stable and error free for a period of time. As such, all Layer-3 services will have possible path switches at start and end of this work, depending on destination path selected, with potential changes in latency to some destinations, no significant disruption is expected to any IPT services at any location. February 28, 2026 10:12 GMT Monitoring - ME14 has seen a complete loss of 11kV supplies across all feeds due to two separate off-site high-voltage cable faults in the local area of Maidstone. CDC's UPS systems carried the load while all on-site generation started; and then transferred on to load as expected without any interruption to critical infrastructure. There is now an elevated risk level at ME14 while UKPN engineers work to resolve both cable faults and the site remains on local generation. CDC engineering staff on-site are closely monitoring. February 28, 2026 11:06 GMT Resolved - UKPN engineers have completed works to repair the supplies and we have seen the restoration of our 11kV feeders now. The site has cleanly transferred back from local generation to grid without interruption to critical load. The at-risk period is ending now.

All clients directly affected will be contacted by our Account Management team and our 24 hour team will be on hand throughout the period to offer any assistance required. December 12, 2025 15:20 GMT Scheduled - Custodian’s Networking team have identified a hardware fault on one of our edge router platforms, we have been monitoring this device since its last reload and have decided to replace the line card on this router to resolve the NP fault. From our findings so far, this specific NP issue only occurs after a few or more weeks after a reset or reload of the NP. Given this, we are expecting there to be no further automatic NP reloads that will occur between today (12/12/25) and this maintenance window. Due to this being an edge router, the works to replace this hardware will not be service impacting to customers as we will cleanly remove it from service before replacing the hardware. If any impact to services were to be identified, these would only be due to network path re-routes round our core as the unit is cleanly decommissioned and then recommissioned on to its new hardware. Given the above, this is an at risk notification only. We do not expect customers to notice any impact to services.
